YC Alberta - King
Last weekend I had the privilege of photographing some of the top-selling music artists in the Christian music world performing live at YC Alberta, which was held at Edmonton's Rexall Place. I want to personally thank Mike Love and Randy Young from Extreme Dream Ministries for giving me this wonderful opportunity to listen to the many challenging messages by Mike Palivachi, beautiful contemporary Christian music and also meeting the wonderful people who made YC possible.

Here's an excerpt from YC Alberta's website about the purpose of the conference:

"YC Alberta has become Canada's largest annual youth conference. It has grown from just 500 registrants in 1994 to over 16,000 participants. YC Alberta is a weekend where students from junior high to university age come together to be spiritually challenged and changed for the purpose of God.

In the last 10 years, over 5,000 students accepted Christ as their person Savior and thousands more made decisions to be bold in their faith and go deep with God. Join us for the YC Alberta 2006 weekend as denominational differences are set aside as we become one in Christ."

Here's some of the photos from the event:

Lincoln Brewster did the opening worship for Saturday morning.

A member of the dance group EPO.

Australia's Rebecca St. James performing during the Saturday night concert. I caught part of the video boom arm in action. :)

Great singing and a wonderful smile.

Members of Hillsong United leading worship.

tobyMac and members of DiverseCity during the tobyMac concert.

Over the entire conference, which lasted 3 days I had a great time seeing many familiar faces and also catching up with old friends. I also had an awesome time working alongside the many friendly, talented and professional photographers, videographers, sound and lighting people who volunteer their time for this blessed event. Kudos to you all who serve our God and King! Praise the Lord for the wonderful weekend!
